The standard course fee is $385.00 and includes the instructor fee, the pool fee, rental equipment for the pool portion of the course and the processing fee for your certification card.

The student kit, which contains your books, your dive tables, your student folder, your e-learning activation code, and both a digital and plastic certification card is $189.95, sold to you, our student, at 10% off saving you $18.99.

The full set of the rental equipment needed for your open water certification dives is $119.00 for the weekend, minus $20.00 for our students ($99.00). You will be using a regulator with a computer during your training dives.

Each student is required to have their own personal gear. If you have your own equipment already it MUST be evaluated by an instructor for acceptability. Personal gear consists of mask, snorkel, booties, and fins. Mask prices are from $34.95 to $119.95, snorkels are $19.00 to $45.00, booties are $35.00 to $65.00 and fins run from $75.00 to $130.00.

Additionally, with the change in NAUI Standards and Policies, we are requiring students to have also their own SMB and underwater slate. The SMB can be orally inflated or inflated from a second stage thus it becomes a personal piece of gear. The cost for these items is $45.00. Normal retail cost is $59.00.

The last fee is the entry fee to Dutch Springs. This is a separate business and the entry fee is $45.00 per day. This is based on the posted fee at Dutch Springs website for 2019.

Our class schedules are posted on our website. www.LVDive.com Those schedules are for entry-level (Scuba Diver), Advanced and Rescue classes only. Other training is available ie drysuit, nitrox, divemaster, instructor and more. Please contact the shop for this training or any other training needs

The minimum age for Scuba certification is 10 years of age. However, not all 10-year-olds are mature enough to dive safely. This is generally determined quite quickly by the instructor.

YES.  Swimming proficiency is required and tested as part of the course.  You do not need to be an Olympic swimmer but must show the ability for a measured distance. You will be required to swim at least 50 feet underwater on one breath, swim at least 100 yards without stopping (this is not timed, any stroke or multiples) and tread water for 10 minutes.

Most classes are scheduled over four (4) weekends. Three (3) Sundays and the last weekend of the class are both Saturday and Sunday. We do have other classes that run on different schedules through June, July, and August. If you don’t see class dates on our website that you like, please call us and let us know what you are looking for. We are very flexible and can most likely accommodate your schedule.

YES. Our private class fee is $650.00 per person with a maximum of four students. If you are looking for a class for your family and or your friends we can do that as well. Bring us at least four (4) people and we will schedule your class for your group at $100.00 off the private rate from June through August only.

Dark, NO. Lots of light available. Cold…depends on when you take your class. May through the end of June the water can certainly be a bit brisk. July through September the temperature can be over 70 degrees down to 28 feet.

YES. This is called a referral. We will teach you all of your pool and academic requirements. That course fee is $250.00. Plus the cost of personal gear and student kit. We will then assist you, if you wish, in finding a dive shop in your warm water destination. Or you may offer to pay your instructor’s way and he/she will go with you to complete your course. This is a more expensive way to complete your training.

DON’T! There is a $125.00 make up fee and scheduling becomes very difficult.

The basic answer is NO. Books are not returnable for any reason other than product defects. We will refund that part of the course you have not used if you are unable to complete the course because of a medical reason. Any student answering YES to any medical question must see a physician and have the medical form signed by a physician stating they are physically fit to dive prior to their training dives. If it is a personal decision, there is no refund.

The easiest and most fun way would be to join our local dive club ‘the Regulators’. The yearly dues are none and they sponsor events almost every month. Including diving locally.
