WE ARE PROFESSIONALS IN DIVING AND WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT IT
We are an NAUI Platinum Dive Center and a full-service dive shop, offering instruction from beginner through instructor level certification. All training classes are not posted on our website as some are tailored to client and instructor availability. We also offer private classes and perform referral training and assist with finding a dive shop in your warm water destination if that is your desire. If you haven’t dived in a while we also offer refresher training to help you work out the kinks. If you have a pool or pool access and want a “backyard scuba intro ” for your child’s birthday we can even do that (summer months only, unless the pool is indoors)

Breathe underwater are you crazy! That is how it started for me in 1995 when my wife decided to become a scuba diver. Of course she laid large amounts of guilt on me to join her in this training by telling me she would just find ‘another buddy’ to dive with.
Well, after much anxiety and trepidation I was able to complete the class and I WAS HOOKED. I have found no sport better for reducing stress. I continued diving and my training until I finally became an instructor with NAUI. The safest scuba agency of the many to choose from. I love teaching scuba to new “want to be” divers. I am also a certified regulator technician on over ten different brands as well as certified cylinder inspector and gas blender. My goal for you in teaching scuba is to have huge amounts of FUN while learning to be the safest diver you can be.

NAUI DIVE MASTER
Doreen began scuba diving after taking a resort course in Aruba which helped her fall in love with the ocean. After returning from vacation she started researching how to become a certified scuba diver and in 2006 she became a certified diver.
Having to fight that fear of claustrophobia when she took that first resort course gave her a desire to help others that have difficulty with certain skills and/or similar issues. After helping several new divers, she began her progression to become a NAUI dive professional as a Dive Master.

NAUI COURSE DIRECTOR
George started diving in 1997 after snorkeling vacations raised his interest of the underwater world. Taking advantage of his new certification he began traveling and scuba diving the eastern Caribbean and fell more in love with diving. Wanting to become a better and safer diver he took advanced and rescue diver and kept learning to be a better diver.
Soon his passion for diving turned to a desire to help others learn what scuba diving is all about and turned to the path of becoming a dive professional. That desire to keep learning kept pushing him to take more certifications until now, where he has obtained the level of NAUI Course Director.
“That desire to keep learning has not stopped and I enjoy helping other instructors with classes to learn different teaching methods that I can bring back to my students.”

I enjoy helping to teach students, I enjoy seeing students being scared of the water to being able to perform all their skills and control their buoyancy.
NAUI DIVE MASTER
Nick Fusco caught the diving bug while on vacation in St. Thomas in 2002. He quickly signed up to certify through the YMCA. Travelling to Mexico and Bermuda in the first years of diving he bought his own equipment and then began advancing his education through Lehigh Valley Dive Center (LVDC) and NAUI.
He entered professional diving in 2013 when he became a Divemaster (DM) for LVDC, but then moved to Maine in 2016. There he had worked on an underwater film documentary on Moosehead Lake and attained educations in ice diving and dry suit diving.
In 2019 he returned to the Lehigh Valley and began working with LVDC as a DM again. Nick is also certified as a handicapped buddy and has worked with the Wounded Warriors project locally.

NAUI INSTRUCTOR
I grew up in Scotland and currently work for the Exxon Mobil Corporation in addition to the Lehigh Valley Dive Center.
I have been a diving instructor since 2009 and hold a variety of other certifications: Dive Master, Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures, Rescue Diver, Nitrox, Advanced Open Water, Open Water, Dry suit, Side-mount, Advanced Equipment Maintenance Specialty, First Aid, CPR/AED.
I have many years of experience diving wrecks offshore NJ and in the St. Lawrence Seaway. I am proficient with wreck reels, lift bags, back mounted doubles and stage bottles.
I’m also a volunteer member of the Garden State Underwater Recovery Unit, a team that searches for and recovers items including drowning victims from the waters of NJ, PA and NY.
NAUI/PADI INSTRUCTOR
I decided life was too short to not get out and try new and exciting things. I got my hunting license, my motorcycle license, and my “Open Water Scuba” certification in August of 2000. I continued my dive education to further my knowledge and improve my diving skills. I received the following specialty certifications: Dry Suit, Wreck, Aquarium Diver, Nitrox, Rescue Diver and Equipment Specialist. Next, I earned my “Advanced Open Water” certification. I began to dive wrecks because of my love of history. In order to spend more bottom time on the wrecks, I began my journey into “Tech Diving.” I learned how to use different equipment and the drills associated with this type of diving. As I researched wrecks that I would like to dive, I soon realized many of them exceeded the recreational dive limits of 130 feet. I soon found myself getting my “Advanced Nitrox and Advanced Decompression “certifications. I decided I wanted to help others experience the joy of scuba diving and became a NAUI/PADI Dive Master and a PADI Assistant Instructor in 2008/2009. Finally, to reach as many people as I could, I became a certified NAUI and PADI Instructor in August of 2011 and a Handicapped Scuba Diving Instructor in October of 2011. In addition, I was certified as an Emergency Responder and Emergency Oxygen Provider. I have certified and met so many wonderful people (divers and non-divers) over the years and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
NAUI/PADI DIVE MASTER
I got into diving in the late 70s through the YMCA, but never was really serious about it until about 20yrs ago. About that time I met some people who really were enthusiastic about our underwater world and they resided at Lehigh Valley Dive Center. I took several key courses there, working my way up with these unique and quirky divers. I completed my PADI and NAUI Dive Master courses along with NAUI and PADI Master Diver. As a nurse trained in emergency and critical care I pride myself in helping students learn quality skills , safety and to enjoy a very special sport.
